Service Learning
The Service Learning Cord is a special honor cord you wear during graduation events to show you have spent time giving back to your community. PHS requires a total of 60 service hours to earn the cord. You can begin accumulating hours as early as the summer before your freshman year.
You must keep track of these hours using the PHS log. If the organization you are volunteering for has their own paperwork, you may submit along with the PHS Log. You are encouraged to submit your hours periodically at the start of each school year to ensure you don’t lose any completed hours before the final deadline. We track these are you are able to see your progress by clicking on the Hours Submitted button.
DEADLINE: All paperwork must be submitted to Lisa Borgmann, in the library, by the last day of Quarter 3 of your Senior Year.
